Following the retirement of former principal Dr. Glenda Levine, Christopher Buchholz has been named the new principal of Cane Bay High School.
Buchholz brings a strong record of leadership and educational excellence. For the past five years, he has served as the principal of Philip Simmons High School, where the school consistently earned an “Excellent” rating on the South Carolina School Report Card throughout his tenure. His career includes key leadership roles as assistant principal for athletics at Goose Creek High School, assistant principal at Cane Bay High School, and earlier, as a special education teacher and coach at Berkeley High School.
“While I will miss the incredible students, staff, and families at Philip Simmons after an amazing five year run, returning to Cane Bay truly feels like coming home,” said Buchholz. “I began my administrative career here and have seen firsthand the excellence and spirit that define Cane Bay High. I’m honored to lead the Cobras into their next chapter.”
Mr. Buchholz holds a bachelor's degree from James Madison University, a Master’s in Special Education from George Mason University, and earned his Administrative Degree from The Citadel in 2011.
