Students in Mrs. Curran's 4th grade class had an Author's Party to celebrate the completion of their personal narratives! There are definitely some future author's in this room! Who knew authors ate so well?!




Our Hispanic Heritage Celebration was amazing! Thank you to all our families who came out and joined in on the celebration!






South Carolina State University's Call Me Mister program was at GCE yesterday! Our Otters were so excited to meet these future educators! We are so grateful to these young men for driving from Orangeburg and VOLUNTEERING their time with us!









Berkeley County School District will utilize the Teacher Workday/Inclement Weather Day on October 11 as a weather make-up, e-Learning Day for students, as designated in the BCSD Instructional Calendar. This adjustment is necessary due to the postponement of the first day of school from August 14 to August 15, following impacts of Tropical Storm Debby.

Due to forecasted impacts of Hurricane Helene, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, September 27. All after-school activities and after-school care programs will close at 6 p.m. this evening.
All schools and offices will be closed Friday, and before and after-school care programs are canceled. As the storm system is projected to move out of the area that afternoon, after school activities may resume after 4 p.m. on Friday.
