Berkeley County School District will utilize the Teacher Workday/Inclement Weather Day on October 11 as a weather make-up, e-Learning Day for students, as designated in the BCSD Instructional Calendar. This adjustment is necessary due to the postponement of the first day of school from August 14 to August 15, following impacts of Tropical Storm Debby.

Due to forecasted impacts of Hurricane Helene, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, September 27. All after-school activities and after-school care programs will close at 6 p.m. this evening.
All schools and offices will be closed Friday, and before and after-school care programs are canceled. As the storm system is projected to move out of the area that afternoon, after school activities may resume after 4 p.m. on Friday.

Congratulations to our first Dismissal/Arrival Ticket winners! Students can earn arrival and dismissal tickets throughout the week for showing BLAST expectations. They turn those tickets into a box for a drawing on Fridays. We are so proud of the winners this week!
Next week we will add in our bus tickets! Students who show BLAST expectations on the bus will get a chance to earn bus tickets from their drivers! We will draw those names as well on Fridays!
Open House is NEXT WEEK!! We want to see all of our families at Open House! This is an important night where we will be going over all of the things that help us have a great school year! You will attend three different sessions beginning at 5:00 (please be on time, this is not a drop in event). An email went out this morning and some parents were able to see the maps with the traffic patterns and some were not. So we are resending just the Car Rider Traffic Patterns.
Please, Please, Please use these maps for your pathway to school. Some lines will seem or be shorter, but if we keep crossing in front of each other...the risk for a traffic accident increases.
