Tomorrow, February 14th is a Staff Development Day. There is no school for students. Our front office will be open from 7:00-2:30. Monday, February 17th is Presidents Day. There is no school for students. Offices will be closed. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, February 18th!

EVERY student DESERVES a school counselor. Feb. 3-7 is National School Counseling Week, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our school counselors for the role they play in student achievement and success.

BCSD schools and offices will re-open and resume normal operations tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 27.

Due to concerns about icy conditions and the ongoing impact of inclement weather, Berkeley County School District students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, January 24. In response to ongoing forecasts for wintry weather, to include the potential for snow, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule on Tuesday, January 21. Students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Wednesday, January 22. All schools and offices will be closed Wednesday. Hawk Families, In preparation for winter weather, HES will dismiss at 10:45 am tomorrow. Hawk Hangout will not be available for students. If your child will be going home a different way, please contact his/her teacher ASAP. Students will stay at home for an e-Learning Day on Wednesday, January 22nd. Be on the lookout for more information from your child's teacher regarding assignments.

She is a leader at HES, and goes out of her way to help others! Our Head Custodian, Mr. Singleton, has been such an amazing addition to our staff! It's been a busy weekend for our Hawk Harmony Chorus! They performed at the Hanahan Tree Lighting last night and rode in the parade this morning. We are so fortunate to have our amazing music teacher, Ms. Belisle!

We cannot thank our school community enough for all the support during our Boosterthon fundraiser! We surpassed our $30,000 goal and had an amazing time celebrating with our Fun Run and Color Run!
